PRELIMINARY INFORMATION

DSK_AUDIO16_BASE
The DSK_AUDIO16_BASE daughtercard allows for the operation of up to four (4) DSK_AUDIO4 daughtercards on a single DSK. Currently, sample software is only available for the TMS320C6713 DSK. Ultimately, support will be provided for the Texas Instruments TMS320C6211/6711/6713/6416T/5510 DSP Starter Kits (DSKs). 

All logic for communicating with the DSK_AUDIO4 boards is contained in a single field-programmable logic array (FPGA). The DSK_AUDIO16 does not use the DSP's McBSPs, rather all transfers to and from the DSK_AUDIO4 boards are mapped into the DSPs external memory space. Support is provided for software control of all DSK_AUDIO4 features.

For advanced users who want complete control of the codec configuration, the programming interface also provides a codec-register write function to program any codec register.
